COVID Safe Photo Workshop

Here at We Are Raw Photography Tours and Workshops, we can’t wait to welcome back our enthusiastic photo travellers for another fantastic season for landscape photography and night sky photography in Victoria, Tasmania and New Zealand. We are so excited to get back on the trail, embarking on active adventures and admiring amazing natural landscapes with our participants and be there for you to enhance your photographic skills.

But first, we would like to say a massive thanks to all Victorian’s for their great contribution and doing the right thing. 2020 and 2021 has been some years of uncertainty and concern, thanks to the outbreak of Covid-19 worldwide. We understand that, because of this, you have concerns about your own health, that of your family members and how Covid-19 may impact on your lifestyle and work.

In order to create a safe and comfortable environment for all, we are implementing new regulations and will have flexible booking policies put in place. It is our first priority to protect each and every traveller to the best of our ability, while also creating a memorable photographic tour experience in Australia and New Zealand.

Your safety and well being is our utmost concern. Our main priority is everyone’s health. With this in mind, we try to do the right thing even in the field and encourage everyone to actively follow the health and safety advice issued by the Australian government and The Australian Department of Health.

Please note, while restrictions are in place to respond to COVID-19, there may be some changes to business-as-usual to keep us all safe. Please find below a detailed list of the measures we have put in place. If you have any further question for the most up to date information, including dates for tours and workshops and social distancing measures please contact us direct.

We hope to see you soon!

Covid Safety Plan for reopening
Social distancing, good hygiene and the 4 square metre rule apply to all activities.
As of Government mandated, all participants have to be vaccinated in order to attend any workshop or tour.

All participants are expected to practice safe respiratory hygiene and social distancing while attending any photo tour or workshop.

Wearing masks as mandated by the government unless lawful reasons apply or during tuition (instructions/lessons).

This includes washing hands with soap and water prior to and after attending the workshop, coughing or sneezing into a clean tissue before disposing the tissue safely and properly, and maintaining a 1.5m (one and a half metres) distance from others (please avoid handshakes, hugging, high fives etc). We also ask that you wipe down your camera gear (cameras, lenses, tripods and other accessories) before attending any photo tour or workshop.

We also encourage you to bring your own hand sanitisers with you to our workshops if you feel uncomfortable using supplied hand sanitisers from us.

All our tours and workshops are conducted outdoors and carefully selected to avoid crowded areas.

We believe that photography is a great way to alleviate fears and anxiety and continue to encourage our customers to enjoy photography as much as they can.

This policy will be updated according to the new government announcements and if the situation in regards to Covid-19 changes.

WHAT IS THE GROUP SIZE?
To ensure you'll have the absolute best experience, group size is limited, particularly important to photographers, who need to take time at each location and move about as unobtrusively as possible. The majority of tours have a maximum group size of 8 participants, with a few destinations being only 6. This allows enough one-on-one tutoring, and helps bring out the best photographer in everyone joining.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN MY WORKSHOP / TOUR DATE FALLS IN A LOCKDOWN SITUATION?
We hope of course that this will not happen, but if in any case we need to cancel an event (Tour or Workshop) you can either reschedule or refund.

Please note for refund we might need to deduct bank transfer cost and for hotel refund policy per individual hotel. From our experience from last year most hotels will refund 100%, unfortunately we can not guarantee this.

If you want to discuss this policy further please email us or call on 0432 224 539 and we’ll be happy to talk to you.
