“We Are Raw Photography” Photography Workshops: We offer a variety of beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes that take place on-location throughout Melbourne. In all of our workshops, you will learn proper photography techniques and skills that will help you take better photos and advance as a photographer. Learn from local professional photographers through group classes or private lessons. Shoot under the stars at Melbourne’s darkest locations. And learn photography with hands-on practice at the most photographic locations around Melbourne. All workshops are based on the “outdoor” photography; and currently focused on landscape, waterfall and night photography. Why not join us for a day trip to the great outdoors at a various location around Melbourne, Mornington Peninsula, Victorian Alps or the Great Ocean Road. In addition to that, there are workshops focusing on specific topics like fundamentals of photography to master your camera, long-exposure photography or cityscape photography.
Brighton Beach Bathing Boxes Photography Course
Our Melbourne photography workshop will provide you with in-depth knowledge of what you need to capture great photos. You will learn all about your camera, basic camera handling techniques, aperture, shutter speed and iso, exposure compensation, light metering, the histogram and composition. There will be many different shoots in different scenarios. These will test your abilities and give you the skills necessary to take your photography to the next level.

Long Exposure Photography using ND Filters
On this 3 hour coastal Long Exposure Photography workshop, we will guide you to learn how to shoot dramatic and awe-inspiring coastal landscapes and how to take long exposure photographs. Learn the use of Neutral Density (ND) filters (we have some to borrow if you don't have your own) so you can use longer shutter speeds to create beautiful effects with movement from clouds and water.

Master the Night Sky! Astrophotography Workshop
This is a 5 hours Star Trail and Milky Way Astrophotography workshop!
Learn to photograph the night sky from one of the darkest locations in Victoria. Join us at Cape Schanck for a highly practical five-hour introduction to photographing the night sky. This workshop will take place on a moonless night, so it will be possible to see and photograph Star Trails and the Milky Way, as long as the sky remains clear enough. No Astrophotography experience necessary.

Full Day Toorongo Falls Photography Tour
Capture treasured memories and world-class waterfall photographs with We Are Raw Photography.
Capturing waterfalls, continuously flowing subject, requires a delicate balance of the available light through proper use of aperture and shutter-speed. This workshop will show you how and when to use different shutter-speeds to create your mood.
The use of different lenses, aperture settings, and other professional techniques will be discussed to help you create images to place on your wall and be proud of sharing with your family and friends, not hidden in your computer folders.

This is a 2-3 hours Beginner Photography Workshop in Melbourne.
You just brought your new camera and don't know where to start? Or do you have some experience and want to take your photography to the next level? If your camera has Manual settings and is a DSLR or Mirrorless then this is the course that will help you take that creative photo idea from your mind and help you translate it into a photo.
